About

I’m Emily Cornaire, an interior designer and artist based in Jacksonville, Florida.

San Marco Art & Design is my studio, a small, focused practice built around two things I have always believed belong together: the way a space is designed and the way it makes you feel.

My work spans residential interiors across Northeast Florida and the Washington D.C. area. I work with clients on kitchen and bathroom renovations, finish selections, furniture curation, and the quieter, harder-to-name work of helping a home feel like it truly belongs to the people living in it.

I also create commissioned art. That part of the practice informs everything else; the way I think about proportion, color, and light. It is a constant reminder that the most considered spaces are never purely functional. They carry something.

This journal is where I share what years of projects have taught me: the decisions that matter most, the details that are easy to overlook, and the thinking behind the work. I write for homeowners who want to understand the process, and for anyone who is curious about the way design shapes everyday life.

If you are considering a renovation or a commission, I would love to hear about your project.
